In my work, I like to make characters and stories I would have liked to see as a kid. Being black and a lover of cartoons and anime, especially older ones, it was a struggle to see proper representation, not even factoring in the lack of representation of black girls and women. While in the animation industry, I hope to add to the many recent shows and movies that are giving kids (and adults) that representation I wished for when I was younger!
